Health Monitoring

Health monitoring is the technology used for documenting the condition of buildings. Non-destructive technologies, like laser-based scanning systems, are able to measure the motion of buildings or bridges (among other capabilities). Any deterioration caused by heavy loads or aging can be detected easily. Materion Balzers Optics enables the manufacturing of laser components like laser scanning mirrors, coated parts for Galvo scanners or Polygon scanners, polarization filters and PBS cubes, as well all kinds of bandpass filters, from the UV to the IR range.
