LED Systems

Light emitting diodes (LEDs) transmit their signals in randomized directions. By using optical windows and aspherical shaped lenses the emitted light can be directed, and stray light reduced. Materion Balzers Optics offers the coating capabilities for the filters and windows used in, or mounted on, LED units. This coating technology allows the polarization of light, and any stray light, to be actively adapted to a certain application. In addition, special coating technologies allow the LED and their lenses to be hermetically sealed.
