Ring Laser Gyroscope

Ring laser gyroscopes facilitate ultra-precise position coordination in a space. A ring laser which feeds upon a high-stability monochromatic laser source follows a closed path. Any deviation which causes a phase displacement is detected. Mirrors with ultra-high reflectivity, so-called GYROS, are used for beam steering. The reflectance of these mirrors is precisely defined.
