For professional product illumination the color temperature plays an important role. While food is typically illuminated at low color temperatures around 3000 K, for exhibits in museums and art galleries higher color temperatures around 6000 K are recommended. With the Materion Balzers Optics Conversion Filters the color temperature of a light source can be modified to meet the specific application requirement without color degradation. Due to the coating materials and deposition technology the color conversion is absorption free, heat resistant and independent of the glass thickness. The filters are mechanically durable, chemically stable and can be designed to meet specific customer requests.
