Cavity Mirrors
Brewster windows are designed to operate at an angle of incident. They transmit linearly polarized light in the p-plane and reflect about 50 % of the s-plane component. Usually they are uncoated. Coated Brewster windows enhance the reflectance of the s-polarization component but they reduce the power. These windows are ideal for producing linearly polarized light within laser cavities. Special machining processes with extra qualified substrate material allow us to provide optical components with the special Brewster characteristics in customized dimensions and with high volumes.
